A look at what gets cut, what gets kept, and what gets postponed when a deadline is the constraint.
When the clock is the design constraint, the question stops being what should this app do? and becomes what is the smallest thing this app must do to be worth shipping?
The cuts
Settings screens. Onboarding flows. Account creation. Anything that isn’t on the critical path between open the app and the thing the user came for gets cut on day one. Not deferred — cut.
What we keep
The single feature the app is named after, and the empty state. That’s it. Everything else earns its place by surviving a week of internal use.
