Privacy Policy — TypeFlow.

This policy explains what TypeFlow (the AI keyboard for iPhone and Android, “the app”) does with your information. TypeFlow is made by ASAP Visuals, Inc. (“we”, “us”). If you have questions, write to info@asapvisuals.com.
The short version
- Your typing stays on your phone. Suggestions, autocorrect and the words TypeFlow learns all run on your device. We never receive your keystrokes.
- Text leaves your phone only when you ask. When you tap Fix, Rewrite, Translate or Reply (or use “Fix/Translate with TypeFlow” in Android’s text selection menu), the text you’re working on is sent to our AI service to make that one change.
- We don’t keep your messages or use them to train AI.
- Password fields are off-limits. TypeFlow shows no suggestions and runs no AI in password fields.
- No account. You don’t sign up. The app uses a random ID instead of your name or email.
What TypeFlow processes, and why
Text you send to an AI action
When you tap an AI action, TypeFlow sends the message you’re writing (or the text you selected, or, for Reply, the text you copied) to our server, which passes it to OpenAI’s API to generate the result. Signatures and quoted email threads are left out where TypeFlow can detect them. The result comes back to your phone and is shown or inserted into your message.
- We use this text only to produce the result you asked for.
- Our server does not store the text in its database. It records your app ID, a count of requests and their size, your IP address and the app’s user agent, to run the service, enforce the free allowance and prevent abuse. In rare error cases a request may be written to a temporary server error log, which we use only to fix the error.
- OpenAI processes the text under its API terms: API data is not used to train its models and is kept for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring.
- If you report a result as offensive or wrong, the app sends us that result (not your conversation) so we can review it and improve TypeFlow.
What you type
The keyboard reads the text around your cursor on your device to offer suggestions, autocorrect, capitalization and the language TypeFlow shows on the translate button. This happens on your phone and is never sent to us. Words you add (for example by undoing an autocorrection) are saved on your phone. When an app marks a field as private or incognito, TypeFlow doesn’t learn words from it.
Clipboard
On Android, when you’ve just copied text, the keyboard may read the clipboard on your device to offer “Reply to copied text”. The copied text is sent only if you tap Reply. On iPhone, Reply reads the clipboard only when you tap it, and iOS may ask for your permission.
Voice
Voice typing uses your phone’s speech recognition: Apple’s on iPhone and the speech service on your Android phone (usually Google’s). We don’t receive your audio. The words appear in TypeFlow so you can insert them; they’re not sent to us. Speech services process audio under their own privacy policies.
History and stats
TypeFlow keeps a history of your recent fixes and translations, and a weekly count of words and actions, only on your phone, so you can see and copy them. On Android this data is excluded from device backups. You can turn history off or clear it in Settings.
Identifiers, usage and crash data
To run subscriptions, measure how the app is used and fix crashes, the app collects:
- a random app ID and the subscription profile ID linked to it;
- app events, such as screens opened, which features were used and how often (never the text);
- device information, such as model, operating system, language, country and app version;
- crash reports;
- on Android, the advertising ID, and on iPhone, the IDFA only if you allow tracking, to measure which ads led to installs. You can reset or delete the advertising ID in your phone’s settings.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your payment details. We receive the purchase status and transaction details to unlock TypeFlow Pro.

These providers act on our behalf or under their own terms for the services listed. We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising beyond measuring our own ads.
How long we keep data
- AI request text: not stored by us, except temporary error logs kept only as long as needed to fix the error.
- App ID, request counts and subscription records: as long as you use TypeFlow, and as required by tax and accounting rules for purchases.
- Analytics and crash data: as long as needed to understand how the app is used and fix problems, under our providers’ retention settings.
- History, stats and learned words: on your phone until you clear them or delete the app.
Your choices and rights
- Turn off history, clear it, or delete the app to remove everything stored on your phone.
- Reset your advertising ID, or limit ad tracking, in your phone’s settings.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, or object to how we use it. Email info@asapvisuals.com and include your device type; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
TypeFlow is not directed at children under 13 (16 in the EEA), and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Security
Data sent between the app and our server is encrypted in transit. We limit access to the server and its logs to the people who maintain the service.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
